How do I create a user?
Incoming freshmen: If you have already been admitted into New Mexico State University, you should have a Banner identification number. If you have been admitted to NMSU but have never used your Banner ID you will need to activate it at myNMSU. If you have not been admitted to NMSU, you may still submit a scholarship application by using a temporary id which will be automatically created for you.

Using a temporary id:

  1. Click "New User" from the navigation links to the left.
  2. At the bottom of the "New User" page, click "I am an incoming freshman and do not have a Banner ID".
  3. A temporary identification number will be generated for you. Now all you have to do is enter your email and create a password.


Returning Students: If this is your first time using this new ACES Scholarship Management System, you will need to create a user login, even if you have already acitvated your Banner ID.

Using your Banner ID:
  1. Click "New User" from the navigation links to the left.
  2. Enter your Banner ID, NMSU Email and password. Your password does not have be the same as your NMSU password.
  3. Click "Submit".
